 |  | ABOUT OUR DATA: We're sure by now, everyone's aware that in 2017 the Coast
Guard began witholding the names and address of vessel owners. At CoastGuardInfo.com, we've been able to use data from our
last complete update and compare that with the current data we can get from the Coast Guard, to compile the best and
most up to date database of it's kind, on the market, today. We update our data with the Coast Guard as they become available.
After extensive "Cleanup" of the basic vessel information, we perform two US Postal Service checks (CASS certification
and Delivery Point Validation) to obtain the highest mailing quality available. Each record is flagged as to whether it passed
these postal service tests. Accurate Zip+4 as well as county data is then added to each record. These extra efforts result
in considerable postage savings when conducting large mailing campaigns.
SUBSEQUENT DATABASES:
We flag records
that were newly documented "This quarter" and we remove records no longer on the Coast Guard's database, and append
them to an archive "Out of Doc" database which is accessible from our software. We also maintain a Manufacture Identification
Code database offering information on the manufacturer. |
